Originally named "Clothes Patch", Complements Two was opened in 1978 by best friends Marsha Srednick and Edy Subarsky. The store quickly gained a loyal following due to its customer-centric focus, and fabulous collection of styles from leading junior and contemporary brands.
In 1989, Edy made the tough decision to relocate to Florida. Marsha took 100% control over the business and renamed the store "Complements Two". That same year, Marsha recruited her daughter, Stacy Novich, to help out with buying seasonal collections, merchandising and selling to our wonderful clients.
After a long tenure and many memories at our East Mount Pleasant Ave location, the store moved to 155 South Livingston Ave in 2008 with a fresh new look.
In 2020 the store was faced with a major challenge, the Covid-19 Pandemic. The store shut its doors in early March 2020 with a cloudy future, and seemingly nowhere to turn. Marsha's grandchildren (Stacy's children), Mac and Remy, were both furloughed from their respective jobs and decided to take on the challenge of bringing this 42 year-old store online.
Mac and Remy seized the moment, made sweet lemonade out of some sour lemons, and brought the store online after three weeks of sleepless nights and grueling work. Our online store, C2.Clothing, launched on March 31st, 2020 with overwhelming success.
Our local brick and mortar store, Complements Two, now serves the entire globe. We look forward to developing and maintaining wonderful relationships with new and existing clients.
Marsha continues to oversee operations, while Stacy and Remy select our curated collection of styles from premier contemporary names. Stacy and Remy also assist and consult with our clients in the store. Mac manages our website, customer service, and shipping processes.
Everything we do is with our clients in mind! <3
